Jack's Ridge is perhaps one of the most popular tourist spots in Davao City along with Eden Nature Park and Philippine Eagle Center. But after an in-depth research (naks), I concluded that Jack's Ridge is just like Eden Nature x Tagaytay (why do I sound so thesis-ish). Yeah it's great because it offers a good view of the city skyline and blah blah blah. But on that day we just decided to ditch the one-with-nature kinda place in favor of an all-you-can-eat-crab adventure (everyone loves crabs!! <3).
A month before our trip to Davao, Two2Travel blogged about Glamour Restaurant & Cafe's crab buffet and that definitely gave us an idea on where to satisfy our seafood cravings. So after freshening up (because we sure as hell were stinky after spending eight hours around the city), we asked Court View Inn's receptionist for directions to Glamour Restaurant. She gave me a puzzled look because apparently the restaurant wasn't as famous as I thought it was. After five minutes of listening to ate receptionist debate with the other hotel staff, we left with no definite directions *facepalm*.
Of course we didn't have any idea where we were going except for the Camus Ext. part and so we hailed a cab (got one after 10 long minutes!!) and off we went to Glamour Resto. The good thing was, kuya driver knew the fastest way to Camus Ext. The bad thing was, he'd never heard of Glamour Resto. So we didn't have any choice but to endure the honking of impatient drivers since we had to pass by each of the establishments along Camus Ext at a snail's pace. Then I suddenly remembered that it was supposed to be near Sampaguita Inn (drum roll for the Eureka moment plez). Kuya driver was more than happy to drive us to Sampaguita because looking for a particular restaurant wasn't exactly part of his daily itinerary. Thank you, Kuya driver, for being so helpful *sarcasm*. That was seriously one of the many moments when having Kuya Joey around would be really, really handy.
You know that feeling when you are looking for your precious little nailcutter and you certainly know that it's just somewhere on your side table because you saw it there just this morning but it's not there at a time when you need it most? That's the same feeling we had when the Sampaguita Inn guard told us that there's no Glamour Restaurant and Cafe in Camus Ext. anymore. I was hysterical at that point and was semi-yelling, "It's just here! I know it's just here! Two2travel just posted about this! It cannot not be here!!"
We must have tugged at a couple of kuya guard's heartstrings with our no-crab-here-feels-like-doomsday faces that he tried encouraging us to go around the nearby People's Park where we might find a restaurant that offers crab buffet. And since we already summoned all our strengths just to eat them little Mr. Krabies even though we were deadbeat from the city tour, might as well find that crab buffet. Our stomachs only gave us two choices for dinner that night - crab buffet or crab freaking buffet.

Fulfilling that all-you-can-eat-crab dream dinner proved to be a Herculean task. First, our stomachs were already protesting especially with all the sumptuous-looking and divine-smelling food around the vicinity. Barbecues, shrimps, sushis, grilled fish, cold bottles of beer, KTVs... They all seemed so inviting. But! Must.not.give.in!! And then my feet were already getting sore from walking around the block just to find that goddamn crab buffet and I so wanted to give the BBQ resto a try if not for Toto's never-give-up-on-crabs attitude. After fifteen minutes of roaming around like helpless little kids, one bystander gave us the answer we've all been dying to hear, "Sa may Torres St., 'yung Let's Crab Eat. Sakay kayo ng taxi." Bless your soul, kind man. Bless your soul.
At half past eight in the evening, we FINALLY reached Let's Crab Eat. We hurriedly went inside the restaurant, put our things on the nearest vacant table, and headed over to the buffet table without uttering a word to each other. That's how starved we already were. The restaurant didn't offer much that day (it was midweek so quite understandable) but as long as there were crabs, we're good.
And and and!! There were also shrimps so Let's Crab Eat was definitely worth all the hassle we experienced earlier. There were also a couple of meat and vegetable viands so 'twas more than enough :3 We didn't mind the service crew shooting daggers at us when we filled three plates of crabs, shrimps and meat each. Hey, this is a buffet restaurant so they shouldn't look at us as if the establishment would close down or they'd lose their jobs tomorrow or something! Besides, they should never EVER argue with hungry human beings. Ever. Thank goodness their crabs and shrimps were heavenly so I just let their deathly glares pass. Otherwise, I would have talked to their manager and report their attitude ("Where's Your Manager?!" lang ang peg).

They also have a small table for desserts, cold cuts and appetizers and because I have a sweet tooth (darn it), I grabbed a few of their brownies. Meh. They were too bland for my liking. I wonder if they don't focus much on desserts because they're a crab restaurant?
So after five more trips to the buffet table, we finally stopped eating. Actually, if not for the shortage of crabs we'd probably be staying for another hour. They should have stocked on more crabs though because they offer crab buffet and that should mean unlimited crabs. But they probably didn't expect three average-looking people to munch on their crabs like there was no tomorrow on a quiet Wednesday evening.
For only P395 per person, Let's Eat Crab's crab buffet is already a steal! For under P400 you can already eat as much crabs and drink as many glasses of carbonated liquid as you like to test your stomach's limit. I just wish they have more crab varieties because they only had crab in garlic sauce when we visited.
How about you? Have you tried any other crab buffets in Davao? And the most important question here is, do you know where Glamour Restaurant and Cafe is??
