I didn’t quite understand a lot of people’s fascination with El Nido. For the longest time, I stuck to my biased belief that once you’ve visited Coron, you have practically seen everything there is about Palawan. Besides, I didn’t want the inconvenience of a butt-numbing 6-hour land travel from Puerto Princesa to the town of El Nido.

Oops. Time to break some long-held, self-limiting beliefs.

The town of El Nido is small, always busy, and very touristy (in a rural kind of way). And one of the best things about it is that it has a marvelous view of Cadlao island and a little bit of Helicopter island. It's like giving you a free preview of what you will see in the island hopping tours. You know, like a mini eyegasm.

I actually don't know what the point of this post is but I'm pretty sure that this will fall under the nonsensical, self-indulgent folder in my archives. Or maybe this is just a reminder of how much I enjoyed this little piece of paradise, despite myself. This iz dundundun...dispelling the mystery of El Nido in a series of selfies (tarush ng title, kala mo may pinaglalaban sa buhay!)
Buwis buhay moments to get the perfect shot slash nagpapaka-deep (quite literally)
Making new friends (and frenemies on the side)
Goofing around as if diz iz our personal playground
Making ourselves look like idiots (what we do best)
with a dash of #fail jump shots & cartwheels
And some leg selfies just because!
Finally, taking a whole lot of shameless selfies
Lalim ng hugot ng mystery kyeme! Kala mo na-solve ng pagmumukha namin 'yung kababalaghan ng El Nido! #UMAY
Okay, that's it! I need to sleep now.
