I can't believe it's been almost half a year since I last updated this blog! NOT. I'm on blogging hiatus most of the time so I don't know why I'm feeling obliged to blog now...must be the PMS/hormones. Hihi.
So anyway, I'm loving how 2014 is turning up so far! There are a lot less travels but much more reconnecting sessions with family and longtime friends. And oh, a lot of pigging out, too! Ah, good times.

January: Abe's Farm and Reunions
Toto and I celebrated our 9th anniversary of being together (OMG, I feel so old) in this bed and breakfast a couple of hours away from Manila. It is not the best we've been to, the food is mediocre (and expensive), the place is not well maintained, and the massage is overpriced (!!) but we enjoyed our stay just by hanging around and doing nothing. LOL. I will blog about Abe's Farm in detail soon. I promise :D
I met up with high school friends in January and boy was it good to see them after so many years! The food in
Yang Chow Centris was so-so and the place was too noisy and crowded but we still had lots of fun reminiscing our crazy and colorful high school life... and lots of catching up, too! :)
February: New Pups and Reunion II
Pepper, our Japanese Spitz who we thought would forever be childless because of NSFW reasons, gave birth to a litter of six! Yay! Only three survived though.
And then Toto and I met up with high school friends again in
Brothers Burger BGC . Nothing beats recollecting funny high school memories over burger and onion rings (albeit a bit expensive)!
March: Revisiting UP and Trying Some TWG Cakes
It's been 5 years since I graduated from college and I can only count in one hand the times that I visited my alma mater! So Toto and I figured it was high time we do so...by walking from TechnoHub all the way to the isawan in College of Law. Whew! The college parking lot was already bustling with conyo people when we arrived. It was nice eating the world-famous (naks!) isaw again but it was just too crowded so we hastily left after finishing our food.
And then there are times that you just want to be posh so you purchase delicate little cakes from
TWG Tea Salon & Boutique . LOL. Thanks to my brother for sponsoring and for letting us have a taste of these cakes for the altas! Haha.
April: Three New Pups and the Best Holy Week Yet
Oreo gave birth to three healthy pups on the first week of April - so we had
thirteen dogs at one point in time! We had to give Pepper's babies to foster families who can better take care of them because we seriously can't handle 13 dogs. If only I had the money, the place and the time! Moving on, the highlight of this year so far is my Holy Week. I spent it at home in
La U nion with my family and my closest friends. I brought my friends to Flotsam & Jetsam to chill, to Moon Leaf just for the heck of it, to the San Fernando town plaza for a food trip and to La Playa Ursula for daytime swimming. My parents were great hosts to our relatives and friends and I loved it haha. And before I forget, the FOOD was awesome. Home-cooked food is still da best!
May: More Reunions and Eating Out Sesh!
May was the month that I let go of my imaginary diet and the month that I saw more of my high school friends. Hence, it was the most expensive month to date. LOL.
Our high school friend's mom passed away and we all visited to give her emotional support. Afterwards, we ate dinner at Lola Cafe + Bar in Timog and the food was great! The ambiance, too. Perfect for us who had a lot of catching up to do!
And later that month, a despedida party led us to Jamba Juice and Uncle Moe's in City Golf Ortigas.
At the end of the month, we met a high school classmate (whom we haven't seen in twelve years!!) in The Plantation in Makati. Food was superb but the place was too cramped and noisy! So we transferred to the nearby Mario's Kitchen where it was relatively quieter. Better for us who had lots of stories to share :)

Toto and I also tried a couple of restaurants around the metro.
Suzhou BGC . Worst customer service EVER. Food was blah.
8 Cuts Burger in UP Town Center. I love how greasy and unhealthy their burgers are! Haha. Their onion rings are also good. They taste like junk food :) Their food is not the cheapest but sulit na sulit!
Uncle Cheffy's in Eton Centris. It was Toto's first time to eat here and my second and we were a bit disappointed. There's nothing special about the food but we wanted to try something other than McDo and this was the nearest one.

And that wraps it up for the half year that was! Here's to wishing more reunion-esque dinner with friends, more pigging out sessions, and more travels in the next months! And more money, of course. LOL.
Ciao for now!
