It's April 7 and it's Black Saturday surfing, yaaay! :) Woke up extra early today to catch the friendly waves in San Juan. Tatay drove us to the budding surfing capital of the north at around 7AM. It was a short 10-minute ride from our house. This was my second time to try surfing and Kert's first!
My first time was hilarious/embarrassing/unforgettable. My instructor gave up on me on that fateful day of January 2010. Nothing different happened on my surfing lesson today -- I couldn't stand on the board too long, couldn't even find my balance. Even the 5-year-olds were better than me. The sad life of a sedentary, no-exercise being like me. Kert got better with time and practice. Toto was awesome! :)

We were sunburned, starved, broke but happy. :)
