We all know how difficult it is to get RT tickets during seat sale (which, by the way, is becoming a weekly showdown among budget carriers -- hallelujah!). We all know it's muuuuuch more difficult for big groups. During Cebu Pacific's February 14 sale, I was able to book tickets to Busuanga for 7 people. It's a miracle having booked 7 people at the same time, so you could just imagine how ecstatic I was. Unfortunately, I was able to book one-way tickets only. Bummer! I didn't want to let go of the one-way tickets even if it meant we had to anxiously wait for another round of seat sales. The upcoming waves of sales from Cebu Pacific, however, didn't give us some love. Our travel period was May 30 to June 3, and tickets were becoming pricier as the days passed by. On March 18, though, I saw Airphil Express' P596 base fare sale and grabbed the chance to book seven Busuanga-Manila tickets. I was happy but scared at the same time. There are plenty of reasons to be scared.
IT'S OFFICIAL. I'm addicted to creating videos now. This is my third video in two days and the second in 10 hours. Yes, that's how addicted I am right now :D 'Tis a good addiction, though! I was running out of Coron materials when I suddenly remembered that Toto and I actually shot some underwater footage in Puerto Galera. Now I really want to own a good camcorder (that's still within budget, of course! :)) Any suggestions? :)
Aaaaand I'm on a roll. This is my second consecutive day editing videos. I also got more inspired to invest in a good camcorder after seeingThe Travelling Dork's post. I want an affordable camera that has decent specs (cheapskate alert!). What brand can you suggest? :)
This is my first ever attempt at creating a video and using Windows Live Movie Maker, or any other video editing tool for that matter. Heck, this is even my first time capturing my travels on video. So please pardon the mess that I created, which is entitled "The Beaches of Coron, Palawan." XD Most scenes are shot during our third day in Coron (June 1, 2012). I used the default video settings of Samsung SL620, which isn't exactly the best digicam thus the poor quality. Hoooowkay, I'm making excuses now. I'm just really not good at this stuff XD It was also mostly cloudy when we went to Coron so the video looks a little bit dark.
I will post more about our Coron trip, itinerary, budget and expenses when I gather enough diligence to do so. There's this thing called 'post holiday syndrome' that's currently affecting me. Yes, even until now -- one whole week after the great summer adventure XD |
