I honestly wanted to stay just for the Calumbuyan Tour. But it was time to go home :'( After the fun in the sun, it's time to face math! So, how much did our 5D/4N Coron trip cost? Itinerary and expenses after the jump.

It was raining. Hard. Like thunderstorms and lightning. Cats and dogs. Chickens and eggs. Wait, whuuuut? At least you get the point, it was not the best time to go island hopping. This morning Ms. Gigi told us to wait for the rain to stop before we head to the wharf. Calumbuyan is far from Coron town, more or less 2 hours by boat. It would be too dangerous for us to continue the tour with this kind of weather, especially that we had a 2 year-old kid in the group. I was begging Papa Jesus to stop the rain so we could go to Calumbuyan. After two days in the sea, we still hadn't had enough. We wanted moooooaaar. After a tiring but fulfilling hike on the first day and an "intro" tour on the second, we were excited as hell to see what else Coron had to offer. It didn't help that I've seen Coron three years ago because I was still the most excited among the bunch :)) I was fidgety the whole morning and couldn't wait for for the others to finish breakfast. This post is the second of the series I am writing for our Coron trip. We all had a good night sleep and woke up early to prepare for our island hopping tour. Waking up to the sounds of nature was something we, as urban nocturnal creatures, badly needed. The room that we had in Gran Vista was a basic fan room. We didn't need A/C rooms as the cool wind of the province was more than enough to lull us to sleep. Even though we were really exhausted from climbingMt. Tapyas the day before, we were all enthusiastic about the day's activities. This is part 1 of the series I'm writing for Coron. We all know how difficult it is to get RT tickets during seat sale (which, by the way, is becoming a weekly showdown among budget carriers -- hallelujah!). We all know it's muuuuuch more difficult for big groups. During Cebu Pacific's February 14 sale, I was able to book tickets to Busuanga for 7 people. It's a miracle having booked 7 people at the same time, so you could just imagine how ecstatic I was. Unfortunately, I was able to book one-way tickets only. Bummer! I didn't want to let go of the one-way tickets even if it meant we had to anxiously wait for another round of seat sales. The upcoming waves of sales from Cebu Pacific, however, didn't give us some love. Our travel period was May 30 to June 3, and tickets were becoming pricier as the days passed by. On March 18, though, I saw Airphil Express' P596 base fare sale and grabbed the chance to book seven Busuanga-Manila tickets. I was happy but scared at the same time. There are plenty of reasons to be scared.
Aaaaand I'm on a roll. This is my second consecutive day editing videos. I also got more inspired to invest in a good camcorder after seeingThe Travelling Dork's post. I want an affordable camera that has decent specs (cheapskate alert!). What brand can you suggest? :)
This is my first ever attempt at creating a video and using Windows Live Movie Maker, or any other video editing tool for that matter. Heck, this is even my first time capturing my travels on video. So please pardon the mess that I created, which is entitled "The Beaches of Coron, Palawan." XD Most scenes are shot during our third day in Coron (June 1, 2012). I used the default video settings of Samsung SL620, which isn't exactly the best digicam thus the poor quality. Hoooowkay, I'm making excuses now. I'm just really not good at this stuff XD It was also mostly cloudy when we went to Coron so the video looks a little bit dark.
I will post more about our Coron trip, itinerary, budget and expenses when I gather enough diligence to do so. There's this thing called 'post holiday syndrome' that's currently affecting me. Yes, even until now -- one whole week after the great summer adventure XD Cebu Pacific sucks!! I hate Cebu Pacific -- BIG TIME!! Screw Cebu Pacific AAAAAAHHHH!!
Those are some of the words that I saw when I googled "what to do when you lost your cebu pacific e-ticket?" I couldn't find the confirmation email slash e-ticket in my Yahoo inbox and I was panicking because we only have two freaking days before the great summer adventure begins (a.k.a Coron trip) and I couldn't afford to book flights for 4 pax again. First, I have no extra money. And second, I have no extra money. Even though the lost e-ticket wasn't under my name, the confirmation message was sent to my email because I was the (self)assigned travel agent of the group. So it's my responsibility. And I lost the email. And I didn't jot down the confirmation number. And if worse comes to worst, I would have to pay for the one-way airfare of 4 people. That's about P20,000 of regular fare. And I have no extra money. But I didn't lose hope. I know Cebu Pacific has a database of all the bookings. I mean, they should have a database. I know they can resend the ticket to my email. But for how much or how long, I had no idea at all. I took a notepad and I listed all concerned passengers' full names, birth dates, and flight details that I got from doing a mock booking via Cebu Pacific's website. Good thing I could remember the ETD! I picked up the phone and dialed 7020-888. After about 7 minutes of listening to recorded ads, messages and reminders, a tired but polite voice cut my waiting woes. That's what I'm gonna say on May 29, 2012 -- the day before our trip to enchanting Coron. Or maybe on the 28th, or 27th because I'm that EGGGZZZOOOITED. Three loooong months of waiting and now we're down to just 9 slow days. And what's gonna be in our bags? ♥ Camera - because Coron is photogenic, very photogenic. ♥ Underwater casing - Coron ain't just about the limestone formations yo! XD ♥ Swimsuit - kebs na ang katabaan, I wan't some tan lines ;p I hope the weather's going to be all good when we visit Coron. Oh well, we still have 9 days to do our own rendition of sun dance! :)
