Toto and I have been hearing a lot of good things about Casa Verde but there was a long queue outside the restaurant when we arrived on a busy Sunday night, which led us to try 8Cuts Burger Blends at UP Town Center instead.
From their FB page: "The name ‘8Cuts’ is a reference to the eight cuts of beef used in the 5 custom blends that only 8Cuts offers — chuck, rib eye, short rib, sirloin, brisket, hanger, flank and ox tail. All patties are made in-house from 100% pure U.S. beef. Our patties are also hand-pressed so no two are ever the same, adding to a unique experience!"

To be honest, I can't really distinguish what part of the beef is used in a burger patty because I'm not particular about it, as long as it's tasty then I'm good. The 8cuts burger ( Classic No. 3, Php145 ) I ordered was very tasty, greasy and undoubtedly unhealthy - exactly how I like my burger! The serving size is not that big but in places like 8cuts, the trick is to always order bottomless iced tea (Php95) to feel full ;)
We also ordered onion rings (P65) and it has a different taste to it, it's like you're eating junkfood (lots of MSG) - which I surprisingly liked :)
I also like the interior and atmosphere of their branch at UP Town - there's a balance between laid-backness (is this even a word) and vibrancy :)
We'll definitely go back when we crave for delicious but affordable burgers! We'll probably try making our own burger next time :)
Total cost for 2pax: P545 (exclusive of service charge)
