This is going to be straightforward: I don't get the hype about Recovery Food, probably because we were sober when we ate breakfast there. Recovery is one of those 24/7 joints that offer comfort food for the hungover people of the Philippines to "recover" before they head home. And like what some people say about some food - it will only taste better after two bottles of beer! (fortunately or unfortunately)
Tapa de Morning, Php180 - ★★★☆☆
First of all, I have to say that I am not fond of eating food in a bowl - it feels, uh, very restricting. But I doubt if the inebriated would actually care about the type of plate or the shape of the glass or the brand of utensils. Anyway! Their tapa seems to be one of their most famous dishes so I ordered it and well, it was okay. I liked the sweet-salty flavor but I thought it was a bit
dry . Rodic's tapsilog pa rin forever! But I liked their ensalada , which is a combination of burong mangga, tomatoes, onion, and a little bit of vinegar. Happy Pork Rice, Php155 - ★★★☆☆
Description from their menu: cubed pork rice topping with Recovery Food's special pork rice. We thought that it was

narrow, 5-booth restaurant at the rear part of the Crossroads Building on 32nd St., BGC. But what the heck, why would intoxicated people even think about the interiors of the restaurant when all they want to do is eat, recover, and leave . That being said, Recovery Food is not the best choice for long dinners with your haven't-seen-in-10-years friends. (I just want to state the obvious :p) But I love what they did to their walls ha! So! Were we satisfied with the food? Not really. Not the best-tasting comfort food out there but for the price, okay na rin since it's in BGC. Will we go back? Nope. :) It's one of those discoveries that had us saying, "at least now we know where NOT to go!"
